Being the newest member of the Masciandaro Biomass I can vividly remember the first time we met. It was not long ago that Julia brought me to 890 to meet Maria for the first time. I was nervous about meeting you.

Julia assured me that there was no way you would be home. Much to my chagrin as soon as we stepped on your lawn you pulled up in your car and hopped out. By this point I heard much about you and I wanted to make a good first impression and there I was caught off guard in basketball shorts. To my surprise you immediately invited me inside and made me feel welcome. Within the first few minutes of our conversation we were talking about static line airborne operations and all the joys that come with it.

Fast forward to today, I will never pass up an opportunity to sit and talk with you whether it’s for 2 minutes or 2 hours. I always enjoy our conversations and look forward to having many, many more. You have made a lasting impact on me and I want to say thank you for raising the most amazing person I’ve ever met and letting me marry her.

Happy 80th birthday Joe!
